Words from Me:

This Drama gave me a different perspective about love. What is fate? What is destiny? How do you differentiate love and infatuation? I still don’t know the main answer for this. All I know is that my outlook has changed… which made me glad I watched this drama because at least I was enlightened.

I like how the story of this drama unfolded since there were different aspects that made it very interesting. Friendship, misunderstandings, visions, fate and love… the belief that things would fall into their proper places. The characters also had to go through all kinds of experiences, meet different people before finding the right person, thus the title being Soulmate. It tackles a lot of topic too but at the end of the day, love is the main point of it all. Aside that, there are a lot of funny moments in this drama which made me laugh out loud despite the cliche scenes because it was used in an uncanny way, it didn’t seem corny or cheesy at all.

Most of the cast aren’t even that popular, they’re not that good looking and there was nothing exceptional about them. However, their acting was really great that they were able to portray their roles according to the intention of the script writer. The writer by the way did a great job for coming up with wonderful drama, wherein anyone can relate to since it could really happen in real life. The lines of the characters are quotable as well, which I will be including at this end part of this blog entry.

The cinematography was simple and yet beautiful. It wasn’t big or extravagant like other dramas but the angles to capture the scene brought out the beauty of the back drops and its realism.

The most note worthy thing in this drama was the music. The OST was splendid and so far it remains as one of my favorites up to this day. The main theme song was also fitting for the story. Music had so much meaning and importance all through out this drama and I simply got that sense of LSS (last song syndrome) after hearing it over and over and over again.

Definitely recommending this to anyone who loves watching their dramas with an eargasm kind of OST.

Here are several favorite quotes gathered from the drama:

“Everyone has a reason to be happy.”

“Fate is something you can’t run away from, something you can’t shake off no matter how hard you try, it just sticks on to you no matter what.”

“The best revenge to do against your enemy is to live happier than he does.”

“So knowing each other’s true feelings can be this difficult.”

“If we’re meant to be, even if it’s not now… someday. Someday we’ll be able to meet again.”
