Drama Rating: 7/10
Jang Sun Gyeol is a rich and handsome guy who has a mysophobia. He has an obsessive compulsive disorder when it comes to cleaning, everything has to be sterilized and free of germs. That’s why he made his own cleaning company with a motto in life to rid the world of dirt. In the midst of his supposedly peaceful life, he accidentally meets Gil Oh Seol. A woman who is the complete opposite of his personality. She’s untidy and doesn’t care if she hasn’t showered for a week. Her circumstances as a commoner trying to live through day by day with what she earns and at the same time studying to be a company employee doesn’t give her the time to be self conscious. She’s also the kind of person who gives her everything when she falls in love.
Sun Gyeol couldn’t tolerate Oh Seol’s presence because she represents everything that he hates and that’s being dirty. When Oh Seol applies for a job in his company by coincidence and gets accepted, his life turns upside down as he gets involved with all her mishaps and dirt. One day an incident happened where he had to touch her with his two bare hands and because of this, he fainted. But after the experience, Oh Seol is the only person he can touch without squirming and feeling the urge to wash his hands. Thus, it was the beginning of his world opening up to new possibilities and that includes falling in love.
This drama had a lot to offer during its first half but it gradually grew tiring to watch. Maybe because there were better dramas out there in which I liked better? But nonetheless it was still able to keep up with my whims and wishes of a light-fluffy drama just before the last 3 episodes. Those 3 episodes became a bit of a clincher for me because things got too serious and family secrets were also revealed but nonetheless it was an okay watch.
The reason I wanted to check this drama out in the first place was because of Yoon Kyun Sang and Kim Yoo Jung. I’ve been following both actors for quite some time because they tend to have great roles be it a supporting role or a lead role. I wasn’t disappointed with their acting but the script just wasn’t enough to make them shine and show their real potential in this drama. It could have been better, I wish the writing could have been better. Everything felt sub-par including the cinematography and OST. As cute as the background music was, it still wasn’t enough to be stuck in my mind. Basically, it was an alright watch. I wouldn’t recommend it as a must watch drama, but I’d recommend it to those who are looking for a drama that is fluffy light and enough to pass time with.
